Below is a gallery of evocative research for a paper project of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. These images capture a sense of immense grandeur in the natural world and border on supernatural not only in their scale, but their composition and color. Once the designers and I had come to consensus about the world we wished to create, I took their scenic elevations and made a series of pastel story boards for each of the two versions I was a collaborator on.
