Baxter Carlisle Chambers is a lighting designer based out of Toledo, Ohio. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Theatre and Film at Bowling Green State University.
He is a proud Emerging Professional Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society and a member of USITT.
Baxter completed his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre: Lighting Design and Technology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Core to his theatrical mindset and art-making process are a holistic approach to theatre creation through intensive dramaturgy, integration of scenographic practices, Chekhovian acting training, and a liberal arts education.
In his spare time, Baxter devours a variety of comics, games, experimental rap, and noise; all of which fuel his creative aspirations.
