Artist Statement
either that or a revolution is inspired by the act of protest. The dancers movement is often jarring much like the distorted guitar chords the punctuate the music. It shifts between quite slow, deliberate movement and staccato, often linear motions. A goal in lighting this piece was to maintain a certain amount of anonymity among the dancers. Fully or partly obscuring their faces and giving the audience a sense of flux through the changes in acuity.
